Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what Banks County Busted Mugshots may receive when visitors use its pages, search tools, links, or contact channels. It covers search terms sent to a third-party provider, messages, technical data, cookies, sharing, security, and choices. Using the site means accepting these practices as described here.

Information You Choose to Send

Search Queries

A name or location entered into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that runs that tool. Banks County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those query terms on its own systems. A query submitted through the official Banks County Jail Citizen Connect roster is governed by the sheriff-linked provider's own practices.

Messages and Requests

If you send an email or contact message, the contents and reply address may be retained so a response can be made. Those messages are not shared outside the operating organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure. Do not send sensitive case documents through a general message when the originating office has an official records form.

Technical Data and Cookies

Standard web systems may collect technical details when a page loads:

  • IP address or a shortened network identifier.
  • Browser name and version.
  • Device type and operating system.
  • Pages visited and time spent on them.
  • Referring site, when one is supplied.
  • Visit timestamps and basic error information.

Cookies

Cookies or similar storage may help measure use, keep features working, or remember a setting. Browser controls can block them. Some search or display features may behave differently when cookies are disabled.

How Information Is Used

Information may be used to:

  • Keep the site operating and improve page speed.
  • Send search requests to the appropriate partner tool.
  • Learn which Banks County record pages are useful.
  • Find errors, abuse, and technical faults.
  • Show advertising that may be relevant to a visitor.

These purposes do not make the site a government record custodian. The Banks sheriff records office led by Sheriff Carlton Speed and the Banks Clerk control their own records and systems.

Links to Other Websites

Pages link to jail rosters, booking feeds, sheriff and corrections sites, court portals, federal locators, local news, and third-party search tools. The privacy rules of the destination apply once a visitor leaves this site. Examples include the GDC offender search, the BanksNewsTODAY public-safety section, and the official county records pages.

Advertising partners may also track activity across websites on their own systems. Their policies, controls, and retention periods are not controlled here.

Who May Receive Data

Personal information is not sold by the operator. It may be accessible to:

  • Search partners that process submitted queries.
  • Analytics providers that measure page use.
  • Advertising networks and their service vendors.
  • Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.

A message may also be handled by the service that delivers email or stores the contact mailbox.

Security Practices

Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used for information under the operator's control. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, and no promise can be made that a system will be breach-proof. Use official sheriff or clerk channels for records that require a formal custody chain.

Visitors Under 18

The site is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submits information, a parent or guardian may use the Contact Us address to request deletion of that submission.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law and the type of information involved, a visitor may ask to:

  • Receive a copy of personal information held about the visitor.
  • Correct an inaccurate contact detail.
  • Request deletion of information that is not required to be retained.
  • Opt out of certain analytics, advertising, or partner processing.

Requests should identify the information and the email address used. A request to change a Banks County booking or court record must go to the originating sheriff, jail, or clerk.

Updates to This Notice

This notice may change when services, law, or data practices change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised notice applies.
